International Logistics Science Conference in Dortmund

What are the essential challenges of logistic and logistic research in these days? These and further questions will be discussed by the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics and the EffizienzCluster LogistikRuhr together with scientists at the 1. International Logistics Sciences Conference (ILSC). Furthermore the participants have the possibility to present their research results for more efficiency, sustainability and adaptability in all logistic areas and to discuss them with other experts.

The EffizienzCluster Logistik Ruhr was a winner in the Leading-Edge  Cluster competition run by the Federal Ministry of Education and  Research. It links logistics not only to economic issues, but, for the  first time, also to current ecological and societal issues. The EffizienzCluster combines more than 160 companies with  outstanding research and training facilities such as the Fraunhofer  Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (Dortmund), the Technical  University of Dortmund and the University of Duisburg-Essen. Together, they are working in more than 30 projects in seven key areas. Those key players are tackling related logistics management responsibilities head-on – with a clear strategy and a commitment to generating innovations that benefit competition and growth.
