Green Jobs Malaysia
The Green Jobs Malaysia project will develop the analytical capacity of ILO constituents in Malaysia to assess the economic and employment impacts of a green development strategy through the development of a green jobs mapping study and a new analytical modelling tool (Green DySAM), to enable decision makers to better understand the employment (green jobs), income distribution, CO2 emissions and economic implications of shifting to a green economy.

- Green jobs Foundation training in Malaysia, 16-17 July 2012, Malaysia
- The Green Jobs Foundation Training Workshop was held by KeTTHA in collaboration with MOHR, Malaysian Green Technology Corporation (MGTC) and the ILO during 16-17 July 2012 in Putrajaya, Malaysia to disseminate the knowledge and information with regards to the development of green jobs in Malaysia.
- Green jobs mapping study in Malaysia
- The mapping study was conducted to estimate and identify green jobs in Malaysia and potential challenges to developing a greener economy with green jobs and decent work.
- Green Jobs DySAM Workshop Level I, 10-13 September 2013, Malaysia
- In early September 2013, a four-day workshop took place in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, as part of the capacity development (third) phase of Green Jobs Malaysia, that contributes to transferring DySAM technology and related methodologies to provide the government and other national institutions the means to use the DySAM and ensure its sustainability over the medium term. The main objective of this activity is to increase the capacity of participants to use a DySAM, cooperate on green job policy development, and to support the use of evidence-based policies for a transition to a green economy in Malaysia. Subsequently to building and making operative the DySAM, it is indeed necessary to transfer this ‘technology’ to counterpart local staff and other professionals wishing to become fully involved in the use of DySAM to support macroeconomic policy design processes.
