In 2020, the operation and supply chain of the fashion, garment and textile industry faced unprecedented challenges caused by the pandemic. The fashion, garment and textile industry has a huge impact on the earth's environment. It is one of the most polluting industries in the world. In general, removing overcapacity and the survival of the fittest is inevitable, and the epidemic has intensified this process.

The increasing social and environmental impacts of the garment supply chain are well known and have resulted in the development of an array of initiatives, tools and assessment platforms to assess and enhance the sustainability of the sector.

Victoria secures solar manufacturing deal with China

The Fifth Estate, 08 Oct 2015 - The jobs potential of the clean economy has been put on full display with the announcement that Victorian technology company RayGen Resources has struck a manufacturing deal with Chinese company JuYe solar, in a move predicted to create 200 jobs for Victoria and see Australian technology penetrate the Chinese market.
