Promoting worker-employer cooperation while greening Thai hotels

"Going green" is often seen as costly and beyond the reach of the hundreds of small and medium sized hotels in Thailand. But this is changing thanks to the Greener Business Asia project. The International Labour Organization - the ILO, with support of the Government of Japan and in collaboration with the Prince of Songkla University, has developed an effective practical training programme that is helping management and staff of these smaller resorts work together to achieve energy savings, generate less waste, create safer, better working environments and improve workplace relations.
