China Green Jobs Experience Sharing Meeting - Meeting Documents

The International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Chinese Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (MOHRSS) organized a China Green Jobs Experience Sharing Meeting in Beijing on 30-31 March 2009. The meeting brought together policymakers, practitioners and specialists from relevant government agencies, academia, workers’ and employers’ organizations and businesses to discuss green jobs promotion in China. International inputs were given by specialists from US, Australia, Germany, India and Bangladesh, as well as ILO and other UN agencies. The objective of the meeting was to learn from international best practices and to share information on national experiences. The meeting identified also a way forward for green jobs promotion in China.

  • International experiences on active measures taken by governments and social partners to promote green jobs;
  • Needs for skills development for green jobs;

  • Sectoral experiences on green jobs promotion in renewable energy, building and industry, recycling and waste management, and forestry, agriculture and eco-tourism.
