Asia-Pacific Green Jobs Learning and Planning Meeting (Bangkok, April 2014)

The overall goal of the team meeting is to facilitate knowledge sharing and joint programme planning and implementation for Green Jobs-AP. This is deemed crucial as the programme enters the new biennium 2014-2015, just a year from the close of the Asian Decent Work Decade-2006-2015. The meeting intends to facilitate joint discussion on progress made and gains achieved in the programme. In particular, in terms of building of the knowledge-base and evidence for green jobs, as such re knowledge products, policy advice and tools developed; forming partnerships and collaborations; and developing strategies, good practice and lessons learnt. The discussions in the meeting is expected to support action which takes full advantage of the opportunities and addresses the challenges to promoting green jobs and ensuring a just transition to greening economy in the AP countries.
