Regional Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) Review Conference for SEA countries
The conference took place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 21-23 May 2013. to review and assess progress regarding GHS implementation within the region. Other items considered at this conference were related training activities for workers and consumers, how GHS implementation was improving the foundation for chemical safety in the region, the topic of “green chemistry”, and on-going developments related to GHS implementation with other regional partners. Participants included government officials, business and industry, and public interest and labour organization representatives involved in sectors affected by the GHS, including industrial workplaces, agriculture, health, transport, and consumer products.
