The conference was organized as a follow up to the ILO’s 15th Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting which prioritized the transition to green jobs and identified key policy recommendations for their further promotion in the region. Approximately hundred participants representing governments, employers, workers’ organizations, specialized national institutions and practitioners from eleven countries in Asia and the Pacific attended the conference to examine new ways of generating green employment opportunities.
